Job Title: Director of Finance
Ultimate Staffing is offering a competitive salary range of $85,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr, based on skills and experience.
Overview Ultimate Staffing is seeking a dynamic Director of Finance to lead financial operations during an exciting growth phase, including the CAPEX projects for our client in Clayton County, Iowa. This role is a key member of the onsite executive team and will oversee finance, accounting, and select operational departments. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with strong technical skills, experience managing high‑volume cash environments, and the ability to drive process improvements in a fast‑paced, regulated industry.
Key Responsibilities
Own monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and deliver weekly forecasting (slots, tables), daily revenue reporting, and quarterly financial reviews for corporate.
Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles, including driver‑based modeling and scenario planning.
Oversee compliance and reporting requirements and corporate standards.
Ensure accurate GL reconciliations, journal entries, and cash deposit controls.
Lead capital budgeting and CAPEX spend tracking; submit approvals and monitor project budgets.
Systems & Tools
Great Plains (accounting & fixed assets); Oracle.
Heavy Excel usage for reporting and analysis.
Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and ability to adapt to new systems.
Team Management
Experience overseeing department managers and ensuring team training, compliance, and accountability.
Collaborate with Purchasing Department.
Operational Oversight
Support non‑finance departments (IT, Warehouse) while maintaining autonomy for department managers.
Participate in weekly P&L reviews with department heads and quarterly reviews with corporate.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
7+ years of progressive finance leadership experience; multi‑department oversight a plus.
Strong technical skills in ERP systems (Great Plains, Oracle), Excel, and financial modeling.
Experience in high‑cash environments required; casino experience strongly preferred.
Proven ability to manage CAPEX projects and large‑scale budgets.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills; ability to work onsite full‑time.
Base salary: $85,000-95,000 + bonus.
Relocation assistance: $5,000.
