UCSF Health The Practice Coordinator 2 is primarily responsible for representing the administrative team as the public face of the Practice and works closely with the administrative, clinical and management teams to support practice operations and customer service recovery and intervention efforts. S/he provides support to all functions of the administrative teams including but not limited to: CRM messages, telephone encounters, referrals, APeX in-baskets, scanning, filing, authorizations, and billing. The PC 2 is responsible for the maintenance of all routine clerical operations and communications. S/he adheres to the UCSF House and Telephone Standards and is sensitive to the needs of patients, staff and providers at all times. The PC2 is a team player who works closely with others and who is flexible in dealing with changing priorities. S/he is a self-reliant individual who synthesizes his/her knowledge of practice operations in order to problem-solve, prioritize and facilitate complex transactions in the course of daily activities. The PC 2 adheres to AIDET & Living PRIDE standards. This position may require work at any UCSF campus as needed and scheduled. The final salary and offer components are subject to UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on factors including work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. If represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the collective bargaining agreement. Salary range:
$29.68 - $42.48
per hour. Responsibilities
Represent the administrative team as the public face of the Practice and support practice operations and customer service recovery and intervention efforts. Perform administrative tasks including CRM messages, telephone encounters, referrals, APeX in-baskets, scanning, filing, authorizations, and billing. Maintain routine clerical operations and communications in adherence to UCSF standards. Collaborate with physicians, staff, and management to ensure accurate information flow and maximize unit efficiency. Adapt to changing priorities and problem-solve to facilitate complex transactions. Qualifications
High School graduate or equivalent with four years related experience; or college degree and 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Successfully passes fingerprinting protocol and is approved to be a cash collector. Strong computer skills, including basic keyboarding, experience with at least two Office-type programs (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to navigate multiple patient records systems. Excellent customer service and communication/interpersonal skills, both over the telephone and in person. Ability to analyze situations, prioritize tasks, develop solutions, and make recommendations; work with minimal supervision; use good judgment; and work independently under deadlines. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; strong writing skills for various documents. Demonstrated knowledge of medical practice terminology. Bi-lingual or multi-lingual capability (Spanish, Cantonese, Russian) strongly preferred. Preferred experience with EPIC and healthcare-related scheduling, insurance verification, or medical records data abstraction. Within six months of start date, completes proficiency checklist with the Supervisor covering relevant areas (e.g., referrals, pend orders, schedule surgeries, CRM messaging, telephone encounters, patient lookup, check-in/out process, etc.).
