Responsibilities of the Role
Skilled at understanding tax implications of various entities
Prep and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, C-Corps, S-Corps, estates, and trusts
Assist with client needs for tax prep, reviews, and software filings
Fix and adjust any issues with tax returns to ensure proper compliance with federal and state guidelines
Help junior staff in prep and review of tax returns
Assist senior managers in complex returns, and entities
Work with IRS at times to ensure proper compliance and regulations are followed
Keep current with continuous learning for tax code and federal changes
Qualifications Needed
BS / BA / BBA In accounting, or equivalent field, (economics, finance, business)
2-4 years of public accounting experience in a medium or a large scale firm performing tax work for various entities
CPA license preferred, (or at least in progress with education requirement and planning to attain CPA in the near future)
Great understanding of federal tax laws as they apply to partnerships, trusts, corporations, individuals, and high net worth clients
Experience with various tax software like UltraTax, ProSystem, or any other major tax software platform
Ability to be accurate and efficient processing, prepping and reviewing a high volume of returns at times
Desire to continue to learn and build on tax
Schedule- Monday through Friday
Hybrid schedule a possibility for the right person
