Kentro is hiring a Data Scientist to support the Defense Health Agency and the Medical Logistics IT division. This role will support the MEDLOG IT PMO as it leads the charge to replace capabilities in legacy MEDLOG IT applications and fully implement LogiCole. Upon reaching full operating capability, LogiCole will roll all legacy medical logistics applications into a single, web‑based application and provide an enterprise view of all logistics lines of business. This role will be a pivotal part of the implementation of LogiCole and the decommissioning of legacy applications – providing intuitive user interfaces, leveraging authoritative product and sourcing data, and fully integrating federal and industry partners.

Location:

Hybrid – Frederick, MD (primary work location on site at Fort Detrick, MD). If the candidate meets all client requirements, we may arrange for the candidate to work at other locations.

Salary Range:

$120,000 – $135,000 annually. Factors influencing pay include geography, market demand, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.

Responsibilities

Complete functional data analysis based on current business problems.

Coordinate requirements and acceptance criteria with the functional community and validate that the product meets acceptance criteria prior to accepting functionality.

Within the DML-ES systems, help manage supplier and manufacturer data from multiple sources, including anticipated changes through mergers and acquisitions.

Support implementation of solutions that standardize, integrate, and provide a unified view of the business entities in all contexts.

Provide analysis of legacy medical logistics transactional, data, and reporting capabilities.

Work across value streams to lead and support project management activities in the implementation of the LogiCole application.

Support various strategic and business process improvement efforts.

Improve workflows to simplify user management of system generated recommendations and alerts.

Make improvement recommendations in collaboration with Government Leads and Product Owners.

Support MVCs throughout LogiCole implementation.

Requirements

5+ years experience in Data Science or a related field.

Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field or applicable experience.

Experience as a management consultant or business analyst supporting federal government customers.

Experience developing strategic communications artifacts and presentations for senior leadership within the federal government.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Experience using statistical methods to measure outcomes.

Travel may be required up to 10% based on project needs.

Preferred

Experience with federal supply chain, policies, processes, and data.

DoD experience and/or familiarity strongly preferred.

Clearance

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Must be a U.S. citizen.
