Description Pay Range: $22.51 – $28.14 per hour (DOE)

Job Summary The Lead Technician I must lead each phase of mitigation and/or environmental projects from initiation to completion. This position reports directly to the Supervisor and may be co‑managed by the Project Manager and/or Branch Manager. Interfacing with other departments within the company may be required.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain regular communications with key stakeholders—including Branch Manager, Operations Manager, Project Manager, Supervisor, and Project Coordinator—to discuss project schedules, scope changes, material, and personnel resources for smooth project completion.

Perform necessary tasks to expedite job completion, such as picking up and ordering materials, moving client contents, and performing high‑quality repairs while adhering to code regulations and industry standards.

Lead a small group of technicians, providing supervision and direction based on defined job parameters.

Maintain the company‑assigned vehicle and restock supplies as necessary.

Complete and turn in crew sheets and job notes at the end of each day.

Serve as a role model in following and enforcing company policy and safety procedures while performing services.

Assist in developing technicians through mentoring, coaching, and encouraging skill development.

Assist in jobsite safety briefings, providing training within scope of knowledge.

Complete timecards accurately and ensure crew members do the same.

Turn in completed work orders—including measurements, moisture readings, and detailed paperwork—for Project Manager billing.

Maintain trade skills through regular training provided by the company.

Continue building knowledge of company services, operations, and standard practices to support professional growth.

Experience / Requirements

Minimum 1 year experience as a lead technician in construction, restoration, or mitigation, or equivalent experience through Tech III role.

Valid Class C driver’s license with good standing driving record.

Must be insurable.

Demonstrates understanding of safety guidelines and holds crew accountable.

Familiar with company handbook, SOPs, and communicates desired outcomes to crew.

Supports development of technicians through demonstration and encouragement.

Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and miscellaneous equipment.

Growth mindset, open to feedback, and applies learned knowledge.

Good grasp of English (read, write, verbal).

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Able to pass respirator physical and obtain respiratory fit exam.

Interprets and applies basic instructions such as Material Data Sheets.

Industry certifications preferred; able to pass medical exams if required.

Safety Requirements

Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.

Use required PPE: gloves, masks, goggles, hard hats, safety footwear as needed for specific role and site.

Practice ergonomic principles to prevent musculoskeletal disorders.

Follow office safety protocols to maintain a secure environment.

Complete all mandatory safety training sessions.

Identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, incidents, or injuries promptly.

Familiarize with emergency procedures relevant to job site, including evacuation routes and contacts.

Physical Requirements

Lifting and carrying materials up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs with assistance.

Perform tasks that require walking, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, climbing, squatting, crawling, lifting above shoulder, twisting.

Prolonged sitting or standing required; alternate between sitting and standing.

Repetitive motions involving hand, wrist, or arm (e.g., typing, data entry).

Operate machinery and tools requiring fine motor skills and hand‑eye coordination.

Requires clear vision for close work and computer use.

Working Conditions Office Environment

Indoor office setting using standard office equipment; includes meetings and collaboration.

Field Environment

Outdoor site work at residential, commercial, or industrial premises; exposure to various weather conditions.

Hazardous Environments

Potential exposure to hazardous materials, chemicals, or contaminants; requires strict safety protocols and PPE.

Work after hours and weekends due to 24/7 operations.

Travel Requirements

Travel to job sites by company vehicle; possible out‑of‑town training or conferences.
