Pay Range $82,316.52 - $118,731.08 Annually (DOE)
Job Summary Project Directors are responsible for simultaneously managing and directing multiple claims/jobs. Direct lead technicians and superintendents in the production phase of job(s) via work orders. This position reports directly to the Regional Director and interfaces with other departments within the company as required.
Key Responsibilities
Manages multiple large scope projects, simultaneously, from beginning until completion.
Develops estimates for construction and mitigation projects.
Reviews and approves time and material billing ensuring all billable job costs are captured.
Responsible for maintaining business contacts and/or sourcing new business for purpose of generating new work.
Prepares work orders for scheduling ensuring accuracy and detail; disseminates to responsible parties.
Conducts thorough inspections of jobs and recommends further work to adjusters or clients.
Tracks project plans and makes adjustment, as and where needed, to stay on track and meet contract schedules.
Gathers and reviews all documents and work orders ensuring customer invoices are sent in a timely manner to ensure prompt invoicing/payment.
Requires frequent and effective communications with adjusters, customers, co‑workers and contractors.
Markets company services to adjusters and/or potential clients.
Collaborates with Account Executives in preparation of bids for adjusters or customers.
Performs loss site inspection to determine damages in order to prepare bids for adjusters or customers.
Supports the Company's safe workplace policies and practices and promotes adherence.
Experience / Requirements
Valid Driver's License with driving record in good standing.
Proven experience in managing large projects in commercial mitigation and construction.
Extensive knowledge in construction estimating.
Well versed in time & material billing concepts.
Experience in marketing services to generate new or existing business.
Thorough knowledge of basic safety standards and work practices.
Experience in leading crews, delegating, and communicating effectively at all levels; strong leadership skills.
Industry related certification, desirable.
Completion or in the process of completing IICRC Training.
Possesses excellent time management skills.
Ability to generate reports using Microsoft Suite products; Xactimate required.
Understands basics of cost containment and risk management.
OSHA 10 certification, desirable.
Applies good judgement in making important decisions under pressure.
Experience in effective communications, coaching and training.
Safety Requirements
Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, goggles, hard hats, and safety footwear as job site conditions dictate.
Successfully complete a pulmonary function test, including a respirator fit test, to ensure ability to safely utilize the designated respirator selected for the role.
Identify and immediately report any unsafe conditions, hazards, incidents or injuries to supervisors.
Complete all mandatory safety training sessions, including hazard communication, emergency response, and safe equipment handling.
Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures relevant to your specific job site, including evacuation routes and emergency contacts.
Physical Requirements
Lifting and carrying materials or equipment up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Perform tasks requiring walking, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, climbing, squatting, crawling, lifting above shoulder, reaching, and twisting.
Prolonged sitting or standing; regular alternating between sitting and standing.
Continuous repetitive motion involving L/R hand movement, wrists, or arms (e.g., typing, data entry).
Operate machinery and tools as required by job tasks, requiring fine motor skills and hand‑eye coordination.
Requirement for clear vision for close work and computer use.
Working Conditions Field Environment: Outdoor fieldwork at restoration sites—residential, commercial, or industrial—may involve exposure to varying weather conditions (sun, rain, snow, heat).
Hazardous Environments: Potential exposure to hazardous materials, chemicals, or contaminants specific to restoration work; strict adherence to safety protocols and use of PPE is required.
Work after hours and weekends may be required given 24/7 business operations.
Travel Requirements: May include travel to and from job sites and attendance at out‑of‑town trainings, meetings, or conferences.
