The Opportunity
This is a key opportunity for a
Senior Estimator
to join a collaborative and energetic preconstruction team. The Senior Estimator will support major pursuits ranging from
10 million to 100 million dollars , contribute to strategic pricing decisions, and mentor developing team members. Experience within the
municipal, stadium, mission critical, or healthcare
sectors is an added bonus.
With minimal travel and a consistent
five days in office , this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands‑on, team-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
Interpret drawings, specifications, and bid documents to build complete and competitive proposals.
Lead estimating efforts for large, complex pursuits within the 10 to 100 million dollar range.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to clarify scope and align on pricing strategies.
Evaluate subcontractor bids to ensure accuracy and full scope coverage.
Support value engineering efforts and identify opportunities for cost efficiencies.
Manage bid schedules and coordinate submissions to meet preconstruction deadlines.
Mentor junior estimators and contribute to strengthening a high-performing, dynamic team.
Requirements
Minimum
5 to 7 years
of experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in
commercial general contracting .
Strong understanding of construction means and methods, materials, and market pricing.
Experience with municipal, stadium, mission critical, or healthcare projects is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency with estimating software, digital takeoff platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Ability to work full‑time in office with minimal travel requirements.
