Affirm
Staff Product Manager, Card Experience
Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, allowing consumers to buy now and pay later without hidden fees or compounding interest.
The Affim Card is at a massive inflection point. We have reached millions of cardholders inside our network, but we are just scratching the surface of a 150M+ external TAM. We need a Staff Product Manager to own the critical "Pre‑Swipe" Experience – the defining moments between a user saying "yes" to the card and making their first purchase.
What You’ll Do
Own the "Pre‑Swipe" Vision: define the long‑term strategy for Card Activation and New User Experience, and own the roadmap from "Interested" to "Ready to Transact".
Build 0‑>1 Growth Bets: launch net‑new features that drive activation, such as gamified onboarding, instant wallet provisioning (Apple/Google Pay), or novel "first‑use" incentives.
Obsess Over the Funnel: manage the end‑to‑end checkout and activation funnel and ruthlessly eliminate friction.
Cross‑Functional Leadership: partner with Engineering and Design to decouple growth from platform debt and ensure world‑class UX.
Navigate Complexity: work with Risk, Legal, and Compliance to onboard users safely without sacrificing speed.
Drive Activation Economics: own key metrics such as Time‑to‑First‑Transaction, 30‑Day Activation Rates, and Wallet Provisioning penetration.
What We Look For
7+ years of Product Management experience with a track record in consumer mobile apps, fintech, or neobanks.
Deep experience optimizing high‑stakes conversion flows (e.g., checkouts, sign‑ups, KYC).
0‑>1 Builder Mentality: history of launching new products or features from scratch that changed user behavior.
Technical & Design Fluency: speak engineering language and hold a high bar for UI/UX design.
Strategic Influence: lead without authority and align senior stakeholders.
Data‑Driven Intuition: fluent in SQL/Amplitude, using data to uncover bottlenecks and product intuition to solve them.
Required educational level: bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Pay & Equity Pay Grade: P Equity Grade: 13 Base pay range (USA): - CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT: $225,000 – $275,000 per year - All other U.S. states: $200,000 – $250,000 per year Compensation may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, and 100% subsidized medical coverage for you and your dependents.

We are proud to be a remote‑first company. Most roles are remote and can be performed anywhere in the country of employment.
