Base pay range $49.75/hr - $64.25/hr
The position of NOC Systems Engineer is established to design, configure and support the technical infrastructure and operations of the credit union. In addition, this position is responsible for system and application administration, vulnerability remediation, patching, and monitoring of various systems. Deliver stable, highly available systems and exceptional service. Maintain high quality service and production standards as set by the organization.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
3 years of experience supporting Windows server, VMWare, patching and enterprise monitoring
Advanced experience with Microsoft technologies.
Advanced experience with virtualization technologies (Ex: VMware).
3 years of experience in heterogeneous network environment.
Ability to work independently to accomplish assigned tasks.
Proven organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with Linux based systems and appliances.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
Desired Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
Certifications, such as MCSE, MCSA, VCP, CCNA, and ITILv3
Experience in PowerShell
Working knowledge of modern telecommunications systems
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Perform system maintenance on and basic troubleshooting for Windows and Linux servers.
Build and configure base images and provision servers in a VMWare environment.
Schedule, perform, and validate regular patching of Windows, Linux, and VMWare servers.
Configure Windows network services such as DNS, FTP, IIS, and SNMP.
Proficient at installing and updating SSL certificates, TLS and cipher codes.
Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve system and network hardware, software, and application issues.
Experienced at updating BIOS, firmware, and drivers on hardware systems.
Schedule, monitor and perform server backups and administration of backup system.
Perform system maintenance on and basic troubleshooting for network and security devices and systems such as: firewalls, IPS/IDS, MDM, vulnerability scanners, NAC and WAF.
Responsible for LAN/WAN administration and network documentation.
Troubleshooting of connectivity issues, such as VPN connections, FTP access, Internet access, websites and various carrier circuit connections.
Identify and assist with resolution of cyber attacks
Provide tier 3 technical support for escalated IT issues for all departments and branch offices.
Assist in administration of storage arrays.
Ability to manage systems via server automation software.
Proficient at adding, modifying, and removing monitors in Enterprise Monitoring tool.
Server security vulnerability remediation and resolution.
Provide technical support IT related projects.
Manage and administer IP address assignments and DNS entries.
Monitor progress of overnight processes.
Active Directory administration, management and monitoring.
Application updates, patching and intermediate administration.
Create and maintain application distribution packages using Group Policy or other methods.
Assist in vendor selection and software/equipment purchasing.
Maintain and administer software licensing.
Participate and assist in Disaster Recovery testing and execution
Other Duties & Responsibilities
Perform special projects as assigned.
Provide after-hours support within SLA’s.
Occasional travel.
Participate in AML/BSA compliance training as assigned. Adhere to credit union AML/BSA policy and procedures including CTR rules and form preparation, identify and refer suspicious activity to the Compliance Department, perform OFAC comparisons, and properly identify individuals in accordance with Branch Operations procedures.
