Overview As our Administrative Coordinator, you will coordinate administrative functions for the department, support the Manager/Supervisor by ensuring that day‑to‑day operations run smoothly, work as a member of the team to meet the needs of patients and the practice, and participate in special projects.
Responsibilities
Coordinate daily administrative operations and serve as primary contact for patient‑related administrative matters
Greet patients and visitors, manage check‑in/check‑out processes, and maintain electronic scheduling systems
Review and process patient forms, obtain signatures, and accurately enter/update information in computer systems
Schedule patient appointments using computerized systems, matching provider and patient availability while meeting preferences and facility requirements
Communicate appointment information, changes, and cancellations to patients and providers in a timely manner
Monitor patient flow and proactively resolve registration and service issues to ensure efficient patient experience
Process referrals and manage prior authorizations for medications and procedures as applicable
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
Minimum 2–3 years of clerical, administrative, or service experience in a hospital or medical outpatient setting
Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA guidelines strongly preferred
Knowledge of electronic medical record, registration, and billing systems preferred
Bilingual as mandated by patient demographics of practice
Pay Range USD $58,000.00 – USD $68,000.00 / Yr.
