Role Description The Executive Director is the driving force behind the Amesbury Carriage Museum—a small, dynamic history museum rooted in community. This role blends leadership, creativity, and hands‑on work—from managing daily operations and leading staff and volunteers—to fundraising and building connections across the region. If you’re passionate about history, enjoy working with people, and want to grow a local cultural hub, this is the place for you.
This position is for 30 hours per week. The hours on site can be flexible, but this is an on‑site job.
Qualifications
Degree in history, museum studies, nonprofit management—or related field.
At least 5 years’ experience in museums, nonprofits, or community programs.
Demonstrated leadership skills with staff and volunteers.
Comfortable with fundraising and budgets.
Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
A people‑person who’s flexible, creative, and motivated.
