About the role:
As a Senior Data Engineer for Accompany Health, you will help shape the future of healthcare data. Your Impact: A mission‑critical, early part of our growing team (and company).
Key responsibilities
Collaborate across the organization with various teams, including Product, Sales, and Clinical Operations, to rewire health care: Your choices will matter, and you will work across various teams to help execute the choices
Drive the change in healthcare: You will build the products to integrate highly fragmented and dispersed healthcare services as an end‑to‑end experience
Be part of building a great engineering culture, maintaining the balance and right tradeoff for building products for speed and tech debt
Responsibilities will include:
Be a data champion and seek to empower others to leverage the data to its full potential
Architect and own our data platform strategy, with a deep understanding of our complex data ecosystem
Lead the design and implementation of scalable data infrastructure that powers both internal and external products
Partner with Product to translate business requirements for data across the company into a technical roadmap and architecture for the platform
Create and maintain data engineering best practices and mentor teams in building robust, observable pipelines
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non‑functional business requirements
Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various data sources.
Work with Executive, Clinical, Data, and Design teams, to assist with data‑related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader
Desired skills & experience:
7+ years of hands‑on data engineering experience with a graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
Can build large‑scale data pipeline architecture, including data lakes, message queuing, and stream processing
Strong SQL and data modeling skills with experience handling both structured and unstructured datasets
Proven track record of building scalable data transformation processes and implementing robust data governance
Ability to solve complex data challenges using modern big data technologies
Experience performing root‑cause analysis on internal and external data and turning requirements into technical solutions
Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets
Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
You are mission‑driven and have exceptional project management, communication and organizational skills
Healthcare experience is a plus but not required

$165,000 - $195,000 a year
The base salary range for this full‑time position is $165,000-$195,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
