Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in California requiring a current CA RN license and strong PM shift support.
Responsibilities
Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of an acute care hospital
Night shifts with 3x12 hour schedule from 19:00 to 07:00
Care for laboring and postpartum women with possible float to Mother Baby units
Floating between like units and sister facilities within the state may be required
Epic charting is used and Epic experience is required
Weekend shifts may be required depending on assignment length
No on-call responsibilities
Provide nursing care for laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients
Must support evening (PM) shifts and adjust to schedule per manager
First-time travelers are accepted
Expected to float to sister locations as needed
Any requested time off must be submitted up front at time of application
No dress code for scrub color
Free parking available on site
Requirements
Active CA RN license required at the time of consideration
Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
Certifications required: ACLS, BCLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced
Epic EMR experience required
Precepting skills preferred
Pending licenses are not accepted
Returning former staff must have a minimum 3-month gap before returning as a traveler and must not reside within a 50-mile radius
