Environmental Compliance Specialist

Under the direction of the UCSF Environmental Compliance Manager, the Environmental Compliance Specialist helps manage all environmental compliance programs at UCSF including UCSF's hazardous materials business plans, industrial and stormwater pollution prevention plans, underground and above ground tank programs, and air pollution prevention programs. The position represents the campus during routine inspections by Federal, State and Local environmental regulatory agencies and is responsible for working with UCSF stakeholders to correct any regulatory violations. The positon provides regulatory interpeutation and technical guidance on environmental issues to the UCSF community which includes contractors working on UCSF property.
The position is part of the EH&S Spill Response Team (SRT) and will be required to serve as the 24/7 on-call EH&S responder periodically on a rotating basis with other team members.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $87,200 - $130,800 (Annual Rate).
