We are seeking a
Project Manager
to oversee a 1.5-year industrial lighting retrofit project for a major aerospace end user. This role involves managing complex subcontractor layers and union electrical crews across four active sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical or lighting experience and proven ability to lead union labor teams in high-stakes industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight: Manage all phases of large-scale lighting retrofits across multiple facilities.
Crew Coordination: Oversee union electrical contractors (15–25 crew members per site) and subcontractor teams; ensure qualifications and compliance without direct supervision of sub-subcontractors.
Multi‑Site Leadership: Maintain presence across 4 sites (Everett, Auburn, Frederickson, and one additional), with two projects running concurrently.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards.
Technical Expertise: Support crews using boom lifts and bucket lifts for lighting installations.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as liaison between our client, general contractor, and end user; provide clear updates and progress reports.
Risk Management: Identify and resolve project risks proactively; maintain timelines and budgets.
Qualifications
Experience: 3–5 years in project management within industrial or construction settings.
Technical Background: Electrical or lighting experience strongly preferred.
Union Labor Management: Proven ability to work with union contractors across multiple trades.
Leadership Skills: Ability to “run the show” independently and make decisions under pressure.
Flexibility: Comfortable with graveyard shifts and on-site presence daily.
Multi‑Layer Coordination: Skilled at navigating complex subcontractor structures.
