Description
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and high‑performing IT infrastructure systems across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will bridge networking and systems disciplines, lead projects that impact our enterprise architecture, and mentor junior engineers.
Job Details This role is ideal for a hands‑on engineer with deep knowledge of both system administration and network engineering, automation‑first thinking, a passion for operational excellence, and a strong understanding of information security standards.
Compensation:
Target salary range $115,000–$126,000 annually, consistent with our internal compensation framework. Position classified as Grade 16 with a full pay range $94,810.51–$150,352.02. Eligible for an incentive bonus up to 10% of annual salary, prorated based on start date. Final pay determined by experience, skills, internal equity, and available budget.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and maintain enterprise infrastructure systems (security, compute, storage, networking, virtualization).
Administer, monitor, and optimize Windows and Linux‑based systems and services.
Administer, monitor, and optimize iSeries systems and services.
Configure and support network devices: firewalls, switches, routers, load balancers, and VPNs.
Lead infrastructure automation using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and scripting.
Manage virtualization platforms and support hybrid cloud infrastructure.
Implement security controls across systems and networks, including patching, hardening, MFA, and identity management.
Ensure system reliability, availability, performance, and disaster recovery capabilities.
Design and manage infrastructure‑as‑code and CI/CD pipelines for configuration and deployment.
Monitor infrastructure health and respond to incidents.
Collaborate with Security, DevOps, App Engineering teams to support development and operational needs.
Collaborate with Senior Operations business partners to support their operational needs.
Assist in leading the Infrastructure team and providing guidance to IT Support Analyst.
Partner with the CIO in developing and implementing a five‑year infrastructure strategic roadmap.
Required Skills & Qualifications
6+ years of experience in systems and/or infrastructure engineering roles.
Strong experience with Linux, iSeries, and Windows server administration.
Enterprise networking (routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, DNS/DHCP).
Virtualization: VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V.
Scripting: Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Infrastructure as Code: Ansible, Terraform.
Installation of Microsoft SQL Database.
Hands‑on cloud experience with Azure, or similar platforms.
Deep understanding of security principles (Zero Trust, least privilege, IDS/IPS).
Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as CCNP/CCNA, Microsoft MCSE or Azure Administrator Associate, VMware VCP or RHCE.
Experience in regulated environments (SOX, HIPAA, PCI) is a plus.
Familiarity with ITIL or incident/change management frameworks.
Location Work out of Eden Prairie, MN. Up to 50% travel to SC, TX, CO, IL, UT, and NV locations.
