Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $240,000.00/yr
Controller – Hybrid (SF or NYC) Compensation Range: $150,000–$240,000
Role Focus
Managing day‑to‑day accounting activities, including general ledger oversight, revenue processes, accounts payable and receivable, payroll functions, and compliance requirements.
Coordinating annual audit activities and serving as the primary point of contact for external audit teams.
Preparing accurate financial statements each month, quarter, and year, ensuring they adhere to GAAP standards.
Introducing and improving tools, automation, and internal controls to modernize the accounting environment.
Working alongside FP&A partners on budgets, forecasts, and variance reviews.
Helping different teams across the company refine and simplify financial processes as the organization grows.
Background That Fits Well
At least five years of hands‑on accounting experience, ideally already operating at a Controller or Assistant Controller level.
Exposure to a growing B2B SaaS environment and familiarity with the operational challenges of scaling a finance function.
Strong command of technical accounting topics and GAAP.
Proven experience leading full audit cycles; time spent at a Big 4 or mid‑tier firm is a strong plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, along with an active CPA.
Someone who enjoys building—systems, processes, and efficiencies—not just maintaining what already exists.
Comfort working with automation tools and AI‑enhanced financial platforms.
