Manager of Accounting | Hybrid (Atlanta, GA)
Base pay range: $100,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Accounting to lead all aspects of the accounting function for a growing organization. This role oversees daily operations, drives a timely and accurate close, strengthens internal controls, and delivers high-quality financial reporting.
This is a hybrid position with on‑site work in West Midtown, Atlanta, three days weekly (Tuesday–Thursday).
The Manager of Accounting will guide a team of accounting professionals while partnering closely with senior leadership to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
What You’ll Do
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while managing workloads and performance.
Oversee preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Manage the month‑end and year‑end close processes to ensure timely and accurate results.
Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and strong internal controls.
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other key accounting outputs.
Coordinate tax compliance activities and collaborate with external tax advisors.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Support internal and external audits through documentation and coordination.
Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and reporting requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and core accounting processes.
Proficiency with accounting platforms (FreshBooks, QuickBooks, or similar).
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data analysis).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience in public accounting or outsourced accounting environments is a plus.
Nice to Have
Experience supporting high‑growth organizations.
Process improvement or systems implementation experience.
