OPO Hospital Services Specialist 2 (H) University of Miami is seeking a full‑time OPO Hospital Services Specialist 2. In this role you will create and implement strategic efforts in assigned hospitals to facilitate organ and tissue donation. You will assess hospital performance data, build a knowledge base, develop strong relationships, determine needs, create donation advocates, and implement action plans to maximize donation.

Core Job Functions

Develop and coordinate programs with medical service providers to improve the hospital’s competitive position.

Assist staff in procuring medical records or information pre or post recovery such as X‑rays and EMS runs.

Educate the pre‑hospital care provider community on changes in standards of care and market the hospital’s full range of services.

Act as customer‑service liaison between the hospital and service providers to establish and strengthen relationships and increase patient volume.

Develop and coordinate marketing and educational programs to promote and increase hospital services.

Maintain hospital referral base and implement strategies to improve performance outcomes.

Sustain relationships with referring physicians and nursing staff and initiate practice changes to improve quality.

Establish multidisciplinary councils to develop standards of practice that optimize outcomes.

Participate in collaborative hospital committees, departmental/administrative meetings.

Perform public and professional education or other development functions as needed.

Adhere to University and unit‑level policies and procedures and safeguard assets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Minimum two years of relevant experience.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.

Discretion in handling confidential information.

Willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends as required.

Proficiency in computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and data analysis.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

One year of relevant work experience.
