Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Systems Test Engineer for the System Test. This position is located in Roy, UT.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management

Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management

Integration of IP based devices into network architecture. Will also support configuration, troubleshooting of devices / network

Work within and across teams to support and coordinate daily integration activities

Execute root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve complex network and system issues

Coordinate integrated testing activities

Oversee test activities in support or requirement verification and validation

Basic Qualifications

8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years with a Master’s Degree; or 4 years with a PhD.

Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

3+ years of hands on engineering or administration experience for Cisco/Juniper networks, RHEL and Windows OS

Strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills

Current DoD 8570” IAT Level II Certification (such as CompTIA Security+ CE)

Understanding of basic networking, including subnets, routing, and VLANs

3+ years of experience with Windows AD, VMWare, or SAN storage systems

3+ years of experience integrating COTS, GOTS and custom software in a security constrained environment

3+ years of experience working with lab environments/processes (Foreign Object Elimination, Electro-Static Discharge, Configuration Management)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline.

Experience with VMWare NSX-T, Tanzu, Kubernetes.

Experience with the creation and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment

Experience with Atlassian tool suite (such as Jira and/or Confluence)

Experience with Certification & Accreditation process and patch management

Current Top Secret clearance

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $111,700.00 - $167,500.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
