Job Overview:

As a CBRE Senior HVAC/R Technician you will maintain medium to large‑size buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. The role is part of Engineering and Technical Services and involves preventive maintenance, repairs, and support for equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.

Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.

Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.

Assign work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs.

Support energy management by ensuring all building systems operate efficiently.

Inspect new installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

Contribute knowledge of standard engineering principles and apply them in practice.

Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values.

Impact the quality of own work.

Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

Communicate straightforwardly, ask questions, and seek confirmation of understanding.

Work Schedule & Compensation Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (flexible for swing/2nd shift)

Pay: $43 – $46 per hour, plus shift differential up to 10%

Requirements

Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

2–3 years of related experience in building or engineering operations.

Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, chiller, AHU, and RTU systems.

EPA certification required.

Certification in two or more of the following: electrical, mechanical, HVAC & refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, engine repair, or CFC certification.

Physical & Additional Skills

Meet physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Understand existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.

Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience and apply appropriate judgment.

Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
