Quality Director (H/F) – SAFRAN CABIN INC. AEROCONTACT is inviting applications for the Quality Director (H/F) role at SAFRAN CABIN INC.

Location: Santa Ana, CA | Salary: $155,000 – $188,000

Mission description: Local candidates strongly preferred. Must be able to work onsite 100%, no travel required. Your mission is to make the journey the most enjoyable part of the trip. In the role of Director, Quality, you will play a pivotal part on our Quality team, ensuring sustainable safety, quality, reliability, and performance of Safran Cabin products and services, enhancing customer confidence and making Safran Cabin their primary supplier and partner.

Responsibilities

Direct the Quality department staff, including managers, inspectors, and other Quality personnel.

Comply with safety rules and procedures and remain alert for unsafe conditions.

Address unsafe conditions before putting people or property at risk.

Ensure that the repair station complies with the appropriate local, state, and federal requirements.

Serve as Accountable Manager as the designated management representative to all customers for the relevant Quality System.

Responsibly oversee all repair station operations.

Train all personnel on any new, updated, or required standard operating procedures.

Establish the requirements for initial and recurrent training for all personnel involved in maintenance, preventive maintenance, and/or alteration of civil aviation articles.

Ensure that all revisions to the repair station manual are noted and coordinated with the FAA.

Maintain an updated list of effective pages of the repair station manual.

Ensure adequate fire‑fighting equipment is available at the repair station.

Define criteria for hiring personnel responsible for maintaining, supervising, or inspecting maintenance or alterations of civil aviation articles.

Ensure the repair station continues to meet the requirements for adequate housing, facilities, equipment, and personnel appropriate to its ratings.

Administer corrective action program and determine appropriate actions when deficiencies are discovered or reported.

Initiate work outside the repair station's fixed location as delineated in the repair station manual.

Implement and communicate the requirements and procedures of the repair station manual.

Report to management on the performance of the quality system and recommend any necessary improvements.

Conduct 1:1 discussions, annual performance reviews, mid‑year reviews, and provide input to salary adjustments.

Proactively address employee relations issues to enhance morale and productivity.

Provide technical guidance on questions regarding quality systems and procedures.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree or higher.

Experience: 10+ years in Quality or similar positions, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing direct reports.

Continuous Improvement experience leading digitalization projects that transform processes, procedures, reports, tools, etc.

Proficient knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Knowledge of Aerospace and Defense industry and its regulations.

Expertise in QMS and process management.

Leadership capability, especially in embodying a shared vision and empowering people.

Familiarity with Quality tools (nonconformance tracking, calibration, etc.).

Receptive and able to foster teamwork.

Practical oral and written communication skills.

Organization and management skills.

Integrity and exemplary conduct in all circumstances.

Ability to develop and maintain trusted relations with upper and lower management and explain issues in readily-understandable terms.

Ability to negotiate, explain, and persuade.

Preferred experience: Aerospace aftermarket knowledge and experience; familiarity with AS9100; airworthiness experience.

Strongly prefer local candidates within the Garden Grove area.
