Security Clearance Secret – U.S. citizenship required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance.

Overview Senior Software Engineer with the Raytheon Radar Digital Product Line (RDPL) team.

Design, develop, and maintain real‑time C++ software that powers advanced radar systems used to protect service members and maintain national security.

Work in an Agile/Scrum environment with embedded Linux and real‑time requirements.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Scrum teams to design, develop, test, and troubleshoot radar software solutions.

Assist in the requirements, design, development, and testing of real‑time embedded software, application software, and tools.

Contribute to the development of new work products or the enhancement of existing applications and systems.

Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions in C++ using Object‑Oriented Design.

Participate in technical reviews of software components and systems.

Follow established Agile/Scrum development practices and processes to maintain configuration management of software products.

Occasional travel (up to 10%) to radar installations for testing, integration, or troubleshooting.

Qualifications You Must Have

U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining C++ software for Embedded Linux and real‑time environments.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, DevOps, Jira, Jenkins, and version control systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with radar systems or other real‑time embedded systems.

Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and real‑time embedded systems.

C++ experience applied to real‑time Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for radar systems.

Experience leading technical discussions and mentoring junior engineers.

Scripting skills (Python, Perl, or Bash) for automation and testing.
