Finance Compliance Director
Join OTT HydroMet as a Finance Compliance Director to lead compliance programs for financial operations, ensuring regulatory adherence, internal controls, and ethical standards. In this strategic leadership role, you will collaborate with the CFO, Global Controller, and cross‑functional teams to embed compliance into operational delivery worldwide and guide newly acquired entities into compliance frameworks.
Scope and Responsibilities
Govern global finance policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and adherence across all sites and acquired entities.
Provide oversight of the global financial control environment, ensuring effective design, documentation, and adherence to internal controls across all regions.
Partner closely with IT to ensure effective financial system controls, including IT general controls (access management, change management, cybersecurity), segregation of duties, and quarterly user access reviews.
Develop and implement compliance frameworks for financial operations, including SOX, tax, and anti‑money laundering regulations.
Architect compliance oversight alignment with execution of financial operations in partnership with the Global Controller.
Integrate compliance programs for newly acquired companies, ensuring smooth transition and adherence to corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and audit financial processes to ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
Lead risk assessments and design mitigation strategies to prevent violations and financial mismanagement.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (finance, legal, HR, operations) to integrate compliance into daily business practices.
Investigate and resolve compliance issues, reporting findings to senior leadership and recommending corrective actions.
Train and mentor staff on compliance policies, ethical standards, and regulatory updates.
Prepare and present compliance reports to executive management.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
10+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated advancement.
Strong knowledge of financial regulations (SOX, GAAP, IFRS, AML, GDPR).
Proven leadership skills with experience managing compliance teams.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for dealing with regulators and executives.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant.
Public accounting background.
Knowledge of manufacturing accounting.
Experience in a multinational organization working with peers and supervisors abroad.
