Position Summary The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the Marketing and Sales departments by representing Cerveceria La Tropical and its product at local events. This is a part-time, seasonal role.
Essential Duties & Functions
Pickup and drop-off La Tropical product from our Brewery or other provided location.
Pick up La Tropical POS items including but not limited to tropical foliage, bounce back cards, branded tablecloth, cooler, table, and other collateral as needed.
Arrive at event within the scheduled timeframe for proper setup of all materials and displays, ensuring preparation is complete and product is organized for customers at the beginning of the event.
Organize booth and marketing materials to represent La Tropical and the La Tropical vibe; create visually stimulating displays using tropical foliage to attract customers.
Fully understand and communicate the variety of La Tropical products to customers.
Check identification of all customers to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase.
Answer customer inquiries, describe, and recommend La Tropical beers, including where they can be purchased.
Break down and clean up the booth and displays; organize, clean, and store items properly for the next event.
Complete a post-event recap and communicate insights regarding benefits and issues from each event.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Familiarity with the La Tropical story and beers is required.
Desired Capabilities & Characteristics
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Passion for La Tropical and the craft beer business.
Understanding of draft systems and proper pouring techniques is preferred.
Experience in organizing, setting up, and executing marketing events is preferred but not required.
Ability to demonstrate integrity and mature judgment in handling all matters.
Excellent organization and problem-solving skills; ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Outgoing personality, positive attitude, and excellent professional verbal communication skills.
Highly motivated, dependable, and flexible to work evenings, holidays, and weekends; attendance at all scheduled events is required.
Basic knowledge of phone photography, video, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods.
Availability for long or unpredictable hours, including nights and weekends.
Work environment mainly outdoors, with potential noise and temperature variations.
Ability to lift 35 lb. cases, 165 lb. kegs, and various POS boxes using a handcart periodically.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; may involve driving long distances (up to 3-5 hours).
