The Manager, IT Applications - EPIC is responsible for all aspects of the OpTime/Anesthesia, Cupid, and Radiant applications and systems in the assigned area, including data quality, maintenance, and end‑user support. The role includes effectively allocating resources, prioritizing workload, monitoring system and staff performance, and providing application expertise. The Manager also understands the specific needs of the business unit, ensures compliance with Hoag IT policies, and is accountable for executing complex programs and projects, including new application deployments, process improvements, technical upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements. The Manager oversees ongoing support activities to maintain Hoag’s Epic instance. The Manager oversees upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance for the following application areas: OpTime Anesthesia Cupid Radiant Qualifications
Education and Experience
8‑10+ years in clinical experience (hospital or ambulatory) Experience leading support of EPIC in a hospital environment Bachelor’s degree in a clinical program (e.g., BSN/RN, Pharm.D., M.D., D.O., or Respiratory Therapy) or equivalent experience with proven knowledge of healthcare computer applications Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical information systems implementation, support, or as a subject‑matter expert Experience working with physicians and other clinical practitioners Experience in designing and executing needs assessments Project management and/or project team leadership Change management and process improvement leadership Experience in healthcare quality initiatives and regulatory organizations (e.g., The Joint Commission, CMS, State Departments of Health) Master’s degree or certification in clinical informatics, Pharm.D. degree, or prior leadership experience preferred Expert experience with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Project preferred Licenses and Certifications
License Required:
Current CA driver’s license required for local travel. Certifications Preferred: EPIC certification in at least one EPIC application ANCC Nursing Informatics Board Certification About Hoag
