Research Data Scientist II

Responsibilities
Utilize basic statistical, mathematical, and predictive modeling to build algorithms and perform data analytics.
Apply programming skills in languages such as SAS, SQL, SPSS, R, Python, MATLAB or similar.
Perform basic data analysis including data validation, investigation, and testing of hypotheses.
Assist Principal Investigator with transforming data to support the investigation of research questions.
Build basic predictive models and other mathematical or statistical models using modeling tools.
Identify process enhancement opportunities to improve efficiency of data pulling, reporting, programming, and operations.
Curate and process complex clinical and biological data.
Communicate or present research findings as needed.
Identify technical issues and manage resolution for analytics programs.
Qualifications
Demonstrated proficiency in SAS, SQL, SPSS, R, Python, MATLAB or similar.
Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or a related Life Science degree such as Neuroscience, Psychology, Genetics, or Computational Linguistics.
Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in the above fields plus 2 years of experience conducting data analytics, mathematical or statistical modeling, or machine learning.
Pay Range Minimum Annual Salary: $76,540.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $116,747.50
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education.
