Job Title : Senior Integration Architect
Location : Austin, TX —
Department : Dell Medical School, Office of Information Technology
Position Overview Under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer, this strategic leader will design and implement integration architecture for the University of Texas Medical Center and Dell Medical School, supporting education, research, clinical and administrative functions. The role is focused on multi‑year EHR, ERP, digital and IT transformation programs, driving coalitions across the institution.
Key Responsibilities
Translate organizational vision into integration roadmaps and coordinate cross‑institutional coalitions.
Lead the creation of integration principles, platform strategy, design standards, and technology roadmaps.
Catalog and optimize the integration technology portfolio across the medical center.
Guide triage of new integration requests and vendor evaluations, recommending integration decisions.
Deliver integration architectures for EHR, ERP, digital, IT transformation and health‑research initiatives.
Present executive‑level materials on integration roadmaps.
Support business continuity, disaster recovery and vendor contract negotiations.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
10+ years of experience as an Integration Architect or senior architecture role.
Proven leadership designing enterprise‑scale integration solutions in complex environments.
Experience with integration across EHR, ERP, and digital platforms.
Strong communication, influencing, storytelling and coalition‑building skills.
Knowledge of cybersecurity threat mitigation and vendor management.
Data‑driven decision making and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a related field.
Experience in hospital, medical education or research settings.
Experience with new facility technology design and strategic partnership development.
