Our client, a growing food manufacturing company, is looking for a
Corporate Controller
to join their team! Our client is seeking a
Corporate Controller
to serve as the senior accounting leader for the enterprise. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role is responsible for overseeing accounting operations across corporate headquarters and multiple manufacturing facilities.
The
Corporate Controller
will lead the corporate accounting team while providing functional oversight to Controllers embedded at each plant. This individual will play a critical role in strengthening internal controls, building scalable accounting processes, and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the senior accounting leader across all entities and functions
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including consolidations
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies
Partner closely with the CFO on financial reporting, audit readiness, and accounting strategy
Lead a corporate accounting team of 3 to 4 professionals
Provide functional leadership and oversight to three plant Controllers across manufacturing locations
Manage, coach, and develop both onsite and remote team members
Establish clear expectations, accountability, and consistent reporting standards across locations
Oversee inventory accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and plant-level financial controls
Partner with operations and plant leadership to improve cost visibility and financial discipline
Ensure accurate inventory valuation and reliable manufacturing financial reporting
Design, build, and refine accounting processes that support a growing, multi-site manufacturing business
Strengthen internal controls, documentation, and governance where processes are still evolving
Identify inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives across accounting operations
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader in a mid-size to large organization
Experience leading accounting teams across multiple locations, including remote teams
Strong technical foundation in US GAAP, financial close, consolidations, and internal controls
Manufacturing experience particularly in food, CPG, or industrial environments
Experience in organizations that are still being built or professionalized, not fully mature enterprises
Builder mentality with a desire to create, improve, and scale
Strong communicator who can partner effectively with operations, plant leadership, and executive stakeholders
Nice to have:
Experience supporting companies in the $300M to $1B+ revenue range
Track record of building structure, processes, and teams rather than inheriting a fully developed accounting function
Comfortable operating in environments with ambiguity, change, and evolving priorities
