Corporate Tax Senior Associate

In this role you will be a member of our Corporate Tax Solutions Family, working on business income tax planning, corporate compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting projects. You will manage multiple client engagements, provide primary tax relationships, and collaborate with specialists across the firm to support clients’ tax functions. Responsibilities

Run client engagements from start to finish, including planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects while managing to budget. Supervise, train, and mentor associates and interns on tax projects and perform performance reviews; take charge when needed. Review tax returns prepared by staff and make recommendations on preparation accuracy and tax savings opportunities, guiding the review process. Conduct primary review of ASC 740 income tax provision engagements. Research and consult on various tax matters and use tax‑related software to prepare and process returns. Respond to inquiries from the IRS, state, and other tax authorities. Maintain a good working relationship with clients and work effectively with client management and staff at all levels to gather information and perform tax services. Gain an understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives, and apply this knowledge to engagements. Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis. Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality. Take on other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Minimum two to four years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience. CPA preferred. Experience in public accounting is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong teamwork and analytical skills with attention to detail. Can travel as needed. The base salary range for this position in our Chicago, IL office is between $80,000 to $120,000. About Us
