Job Description American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring a GA or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, and recent perioperative experience.
Responsibilities
Position is in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit at a pain clinic setting
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm, 8-hour day shifts
13-week contract assignment
No on-call responsibilities
Must be able to work either Christmas Day or New Year’s Day and one minor holiday (Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)
Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Perm staff returning as travelers must have a 2 year break before assignment
Requests for time off must be submitted up front and are not allowed after offer is accepted
Requirements
Active GA or compact state RN license required
Minimum of 2 years PACU or perioperative nursing experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Proficient IV insertion skills
Recent pre-op or post-op clinical experience required
