Base Pay Range $61.00/hr - $67.00/hr
Responsibilities
Create and update all documentation related to current network architecture and new installations.
Plan, design, and implement future installations of network equipment and capacity planning.
Conduct high-level analysis and troubleshooting of network infrastructure.
Work independently with approved vendors and agencies to resolve network-related issues.
Perform capacity planning analysis to ensure sufficient network throughput.
Perform all work in a cooperative and professional manner.
Provide technical expertise, direction, and leadership to team members.
Conduct research and analysis for all requests for problem resolution.
Adhere to security standards and directives; ensure network environments are compliant.
Participate in audit and compliance efforts.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
8 years of network engineering experience with in-depth exposure in design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
5 years of proven senior-capacity experience leading complex networking projects.
Experience with Metro‑Ethernet technologies.
Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
Experience with VOIP and QoS.
Experience with ACLs, firewalls, Citrix NetScaler, VPN, Wi‑Fi, and other security technologies.
Solid understanding of routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, RIP, BGP) in mixed environments.
Strong knowledge of networking components such as compute, storage, load balancing, cabling, administration, and monitoring.
Technical acumen with TCP/IP, VLANs, WANs, routing, and switching (Cisco); experience with Checkpoint, Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto firewalls.
Knowledge of AWS network architecture.
Knowledge of VLAN technology, VTP and STP protocols.
Functional knowledge of connecting public and private networks without compromising stability.
Knowledge of cable standards, fiber optics, and serial protocols.
Knowledge of PCI/PII requirements.
Knowledge of T1, T3, SONET, DWDM, and OC technologies.
Experience creating and updating network Visio diagrams.
Excellent communication skills with technical and non‑technical audiences.
