About the Company Our client is a fast-expanding, multi-site landscaping business entering an exciting phase of growth. With a strong market presence and an aggressive acquisition strategy, they are seeking an experienced Vice President of Operations to lead day-to-day operations and help scale the company through its next phase.

Position Overview The VP of Operations will oversee all operational functions across the organization, directly manage and develop General Managers, and ensure consistent profitability as the company grows. This role is both operational and strategic—playing a key part on the executive leadership team and heavily involved in shaping the company’s growth strategy.

The position will also be central to the business’s M&A activities, including evaluating potential acquisitions and leading the integration of new businesses into existing operations. The ideal candidate has deep experience in service‑based industries—ideally landscaping—and a proven background in multi‑site operational leadership and M&A integration.

Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership

Oversee day‑to‑day operations across multiple branches and service lines.

Lead, coach, and hold accountable a team of General Managers.

Standardize and improve processes, KPIs, and operational systems to enhance performance.

Ensure strong operational execution and high-Quality customer service.

Drive profitability and margin performance across all locations.

Strategic Growth & Expansion

Serve as a key member of the executive team, contributing to long‑term strategy and organizational planning.

Identify opportunities to scale operations, improve efficiency, and strengthen market position.

Play a major role in the company’s M&A strategy—support deal evaluation, due diligence, and operational planning.

Lead post‑acquisition integration to ensure seamless alignment of teams, systems, and culture.

Financial & Performance Management

Partner with Finance to develop budgets, forecasts, and performance dashboards.

Implement strong cost controls and drive margin improvements.

Monitor operational KPIs and develop action plans for underperforming areas.

Qualifications

10+ years of operational leadership experience, ideally at the Director, VP, or similar level.

Experience in

landscaping ,

facilities services , or other labor‑intensive service industries strongly preferred.

Direct involvement in

M&A processes , including post‑acquisition integration.

Proven track record managing multi‑site operations and leading managers.

Strong strategic thinker with excellent communication and executive presence.

Experience in a high‑growth or private equity‑backed environment is a plus.
