About The Role This position is for a successful individual who will ensure uninterrupted continuity of facility, manufacturing, and support systems and processes throughout the facility. The role supports SQF Safe Quality Food requirements, QA and production audit expectations, and supervises employees in the Maintenance Department, carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics

Coach team members in proper troubleshooting techniques, maintenance, and repair of plant system

Supervise team members overall job performance, adherence to company rules, policies, and professional standards

Coach team members to enable their professional advancement

Support, monitor and expand Preventive/Predictive Maintenance throughout all facility systems and machinery

Represent the company as a management team member, advancing the goals of Safety, Quality, and Productivity, in a food manufacturing environment

Review ongoing efficiencies of manufacturing and support systems, recommend and implement improvements as necessary

Utilize Crescent Foods system including work orders, purchase order, inventory control, and equipment history in performing job tasks

Troubleshoot and repair controls systems, including network problems associated with PCs, PLCs, and various man‑machine interfaces

Utilize an advanced skillset in troubleshooting electrical systems, including power distribution, motor controls, variable speed controllers, servo controllers, and robotics

Utilize a thorough knowledge in troubleshooting automated packaging machinery operation

Utilize a thorough knowledge in troubleshooting various process equipment, including pumps, valves, meters, and mixing equipment

Utilize a working knowledge in troubleshooting typical facility support systems, including steam, hot water, compressed air, and refrigeration

Utilize a working knowledge in troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Safeguard maintenance operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols

Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met

Oversee the planned maintenance of machineries

Participate in personnel development at all levels through talent acquisition, performance management, and self‑actualization

Set individual and team performance metrics, evaluate productivity, and help associates create long‑term career plans within the organization

In the absence of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Mechanic will fill‑in

Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need

Knowledge of state, local and federal food safety laws, including SQF, USDA, GMP’s, CCP, HACCP, SSOPs, and SOPs, Food Defense and Food Safety Culture guidelines and regulations

Proficient in standard business office software

Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills; excellent oral and written communication skills

Fluency in written and verbal English; bilingual in Spanish preferred

Proven ability to think independently and handle multiple projects through to completion

Record of successfully collaborating with and influencing senior management and peers

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff

Independent work initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy, analytical ability, and professional demeanor

Able to make effective presentations to diverse groups

Able to perform financial calculations and create and manage budgets

Education / Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree Required in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or Engineering Technology

5-7 years’ experience in food, beverage, or consumer goods manufacturing plant

5-7 years direct reports with supervisory experience
