Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with an active MA license, BLS (AHA), and Level 1 trauma and travel experience for a rotating day/night shift.
Responsibilities
Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
Rotating day and night shifts with 36 or 48 hour weekly schedules
Requires working every other weekend and holidays
Level 1 trauma experience required
EPIC is used for charting and documentation
Limited parking is available for 3p-3a shifts; public transportation or paid public parking may be necessary for other shifts
RNs are expected to provide comprehensive emergency care in a fast-paced Level 1 trauma environment
Holiday coverage is expected as scheduled
Adherence to hospital dress code and work environment standards is required
First-time travelers will not be considered; prior travel nurse experience is required
Proof of MA licensure must be provided at time of consideration
Requirements
Active and unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts at the time of consideration; MA conditional licenses are not accepted
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
Minimum of 4 years RN experience with at least 1 year of Level 1 trauma and travel nursing experience
Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination series (no exemptions allowed)
Flu vaccination required during flu season
Must provide two professional references for consideration
Candidates with permanent residence within 60 miles of the hospital are considered locals and will be paid at a reduced rate
