Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Pediatric OR RN with current circulating and scrubbing skills, Epic experience, and a MD or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
Position is in a Pediatric Operating Room setting
Cares for pediatric patients requiring a full range of surgical services, including cardiac, neuro, ortho, plastics, GYN, ENT, ophthalmology, trauma, and general surgery cases
Day shifts are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Monday through Friday), with Thursdays 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM and a rotational day off
Will participate in on-call coverage for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays when the OR is closed, primarily for emergency cases
No block or set schedules are offered for this role
Uses Epic EMR for documentation in both circulating and scrub roles
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate except where specific facility rules apply
Provides operating room care as both circulator and scrub nurse for diverse pediatric surgical cases
On-call duties involve covering emergency surgeries during evenings, nights, and weekends
Rotational day off ensures variety in scheduling
Requirements
Active MD or compact RN license required
Current BLS certification is required
Minimum of 3 years of OR experience with recent pediatric OR experience
Must have circulating and scrubbing experience in the OR
Experience in facilities with 500+ bed counts is required
Epic EMR experience is required
Robotics experience is a plus
