Excellent role for someone with a foundation in public accounting, strong technical skills, and at least 5 years of experience. (Ideal range is 5-7 years; ideal candidate started in public accounting and is now at a publicly traded company.) Base pay range
$130,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr Additional compensation types
Annual Bonus and Stock options Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain accounting standards and policies Monitor and interpret new and proposed accounting standards (e.g., FASB, SEC) and assess their potential impact on the business Draft technical accounting memoranda Serve as the subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP and technical accounting, especially as they pertain to the organization Draft and prepare technical accounting memos and documentation to support accounting conclusions and external audit reviews Help create and test internal controls over technical accounting Partner with external auditors to facilitate technical reviews and resolve accounting issues Contribute to ongoing process improvements and system enhancements related to technical accounting and reporting Requirements
BS in Accounting or Finance (MSA or MBA preferred) Active CPA 5-7 years of public accounting or technical accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP Seniority level
