Salary Range: $160,000.00 to $180,000.00 annually

You will work with a multidisciplinary team on meaningful, landmark projects in the San Diego area. Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) and CA Professional Civil Engineer registration, with at least 15 years of relevant experience, or 18 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Local San Diego County and California experience preferred.
  • Ability to maintain positive business relationships, obtain new work, and market RICK's services.
  • Active involvement in community and professional organizations.
  • Demonstrated skills in independent decision-making, communication, leadership, and client relationship management.
  • Minimum of five years of management experience supervising technical staff.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to foster client relationships.
  • Experience managing construction bid documents, contracts, project schedules, and budgets.
  • Experience preparing contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work for private and public projects.
  • Technical skills in conceptual and preliminary engineering design, regulatory plans, public improvement plans, and constructability reviews.
  • Knowledge of California and San Diego jurisdictional codes, standards, and procedures is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required.

  • Application of engineering principles and techniques in design.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and management principles.
  • Ability to lead, plan, and set goals independently.
  • Negotiation skills and effective communication.
  • Mentoring and training junior engineers and designers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and respect from colleagues and agencies.
