Overview
West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology seeks a Gynecologic Oncologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV. The successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at other worksites, including but not necessarily limited to, West Virginia University Hospitals, Inc., West Virginia University Medical Corporation doing business as “University Health Associates,” [etc.] located in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania; travel is anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these other worksites. WVU Health System is the state’s largest health system and private employer, comprising 18 hospitals and five institutes, with management services for other local hospitals through affiliate agreements. Morgantown, West Virginia is located just over an hour south of Pittsburgh, PA, and three hours from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD, offering a safe, family-friendly environment with strong schools and recreational opportunities. Responsibilities
Practice in Gynecologic Oncology while leading and building a legacy; provide excellent patient care; actively teach medical students, residents, and fellows. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, sustain an outstanding, extramurally supported research program. Qualifications
MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and eligible to obtain a State medical license. Completed an ACGME-accredited obstetric and gynecology residency program, and an ABOG-recognized fellowship in gynecologic oncology. Board certified or eligible in both general obstetrics and gynecology and gynecologic oncology. About WVU Cancer Institute and WVU Medicine
