Senior Associate, IT M&A - Due Diligence, Integration, and Separation
Join KPMG US as a Senior Associate in the Strategy Transaction group of our Deal Advisory & Strategy practice, focusing on IT due diligence, integration, and separation.
Responsibilities:
Perform buy‑side and sell‑side assessments across key IT domains identifying risks, opportunities, and necessary investments.
Draft due diligence reports outlining findings, impact analysis, and recommendations.
Support sign‑to‑close and post‑close IT integration and separation from planning to execution, including current‑state assessments, entanglement identification, operating‑model definition, synergies, and post‑close plans.
Monitor execution of IT plans and develop program governance deliverables such as status reporting and risk identification.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify dependencies, risks, and opportunities aligned to deal objectives.
Facilitate discussions and support presentations with executive IT and business client stakeholders.
Act with integrity and professionalism to uphold KPMG’s respectful work environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum three years of recent experience in technology/business consulting or related roles with involvement in IT‑focused M&A projects.
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, finance, or related field.
Familiarity with post‑merger IT integration, carve‑out separation, process reengineering, offshoring, or IT risk and compliance.
Strong foundational project‑management skills and ability to analyze and present complex information.
Proficient in productivity suites (e.g., Microsoft Office 365) with strong Excel skills; cost‑modeling experience preferred.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without required visa sponsorship.
