A rapidly expanding, PE‑backed company with operations across the country is looking for an Accounting Manager to support acquisition activity, corporate reporting, and the continued build‑out of a scalable accounting environment. This role sits within a lean, hands‑on finance team and offers meaningful exposure to senior leadership, integration work, and ongoing process improvement.
About the Role This position oversees the close process for several operating units while also playing a central role in bringing newly acquired businesses onto the company’s financial platform. The Accounting Manager will prepare and review month‑end entries, reconciliations, and analyses; support consolidated reporting and audit deliverables; and act as a resource for teams across finance and operations.
A major component of the role involves working closely with acquired companies—understanding their existing accounting processes, converting historical information to U.S. GAAP, assisting with the development of opening balance sheets, and helping align systems and procedures with corporate standards. The role also supports upcoming system initiatives and will frequently partner with the Controller on special projects tied to reporting, analytics, and compliance.
Collaboration is essential in this position. The successful candidate will work closely with local teams, operations leaders, and other corporate functions, helping resolve accounting questions and ensuring consistent financial practices across the organization. From time to time, the role may require short trips to field locations to support onboarding, training, or process reviews.
What You Bring Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, an active CPA, and at least five years of progressive experience that includes both public accounting and industry exposure. A strong command of U.S. GAAP, comfort working in a fast‑moving environment, and confidence navigating ERP systems are important. A background that includes acquisition work, system transitions, or multi‑entity reporting will be helpful. Strong communication skills, an analytical mindset, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team are essential.
What the Company Offers The organization provides a hybrid work environment, competitive benefits, unlimited PTO, medical/vision/dental options, retirement contributions, employer‑paid life and disability coverage, and regular team events. The company places a strong emphasis on continuous improvement, professionalism, and a supportive, team‑oriented culture.
