A confidential aerospace and defense technology company is seeking a Production Technician to support all areas of light industrial manufacturing. This is an excellent entry-level role offering hands-on training across multiple production processes and pathways for advancement into specialized positions such as Solder Technician, CNC Operator, or Electronic Assembly Tester.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build wire assemblies, cables, and harnesses using hand tools and automated equipment.

  • Operate and maintain automatic wire cutting/stripping machines, laser engravers, and custom test equipment.

  • Assemble and test electronic assemblies to ensure functionality and quality.

  • Mill, measure, sand, polish, and anodize metal components.

  • Build foam components and assemble transit cases.

  • Inspect completed work for accuracy and conformance to specifications.

  • Follow written build instructions, BOMs, and standard operating procedures.

  • Assist in root-cause investigations for production issues.

  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on production equipment.

  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and ESD safety standards.


Qualifications

  • Familiarity with basic manufacturing tools such as digital calipers, multimeters, heat guns, and wire strippers.

  • VantageClear Certification or equivalent (e.g., active U.S. security clearance or comparable defense-industry credential) required.

  • Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, BOMs, and build instructions.

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent hand–eye coordination, and manual dexterity.

  • Willingness to learn new processes and take on new challenges.

  • Strong computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
