Job Details
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise day-to-day production operations to meet yield, efficiency, quality, and safety goals
- Schedule, assign, and delegate work to optimize production and sanitation functions
- Train, coach, and develop employees to maximize productivity and engagement
- Lead efforts related to USDA compliance, HACCP adherence, and food safety standards
- Monitor performance metrics including productivity, attendance, safety, and quality
- Partner with Operations, HR, and leadership on staffing, training, and retention initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, equipment utilization, and labor efficiency
- Conduct safety audits, incident investigations, and root cause analysis
- Maintain production documentation, corrective actions, inventory, and quality records
- Serve as a technical resource for production, quality, and operational problem-solving
Qualifications – Needed
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Management, or equivalent experience
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of progressive leadership in food manufacturing
- Industry Background: Commercial food operations (protein processing preferred)
- Technical Knowledge: Yields, plant efficiencies, production procedures, HACCP, USDA
- Leadership: Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop frontline teams
- Systems: Proficiency in MS Office and production reporting systems
- Communication: Ability to lead discussions on safety, quality, and performance issues
- Language: Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
