Physical Therapist (PT), Per Diem Day Shift, Acute Care Therapy

Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation seeks to hire an experienced Physical Therapist for our Acute Care Rehabilitation Department who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
Responsibilities
Perform initial examination and evaluation to establish impairment, diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care prior to intervention.
Provide or direct and supervise therapy intervention consistent with assessment results and modify plan of care as needed.
Plan for discharge with appropriate disciplines, provide follow-up or referral, discontinue services when no longer beneficial.
Communicate, coordinate, and document all aspects of patient management including evaluation, diagnosis, plan of care, interventions, response, barriers, changes, reexamination, and discharge.
Supervise and direct patient care activities of assigned rehab aides, office assistants, and volunteers.
Manage schedule to accommodate range in census and patient load and inform management of any issues with caseload management.
Attend team meetings and communicate patient status with care team.
Be responsible for individual professional development activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Minimum 2 years of experience in Acute Care Rehab setting preferred.
Active Maryland PT License.
Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Work Schedule Per diem at a rate of $60/hour. Minimum of two weekend shifts per month and holiday rotation.
