Description You will be the Test Engineer Senior, working as part of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Supplier Quality Management team, to ensure the quality of special processes used by subtier suppliers in the production of hardware for multiple LM Aero programs.

What You Will Be Doing As the Test Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for performing surveillance and risk assessments at multiple special process sources, ensuring long‑term defect reduction and elimination, and ensuring subtier compliance to contractual quality requirements.

Perform surveillance and risk assessments at special process sources to identify potential quality risks and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

Collaborate with executive leadership at supplier sites and at LM Aero to solve technical and contractual issues and ensure execution aligns with quality and affordability goals.

Ensure long‑term defect reduction and elimination to continuously reduce the cost of poor quality associated with procured products.

Ensure subtier compliance to contractual quality requirements as they relate to LM Aero products.

Travel 50%‑75% to supplier sites to perform surveillance, risk assessments, and collaborate with executive leadership.

Who You Are The ideal candidate will be a seasoned test engineer with experience in special processes and supplier quality management. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with executive leadership and subtier suppliers. You will be a strategic thinker with a focus on ensuring quality and reducing costs.

Further Information About This Opportunity MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – this position requires the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance after start. The selected candidate will be required to travel 50%‑75% of the time.

Basic Qualifications

Special process experience or M&P (Materials and processing) engineering experience

Auditing experience

Ability to travel 50%‑75% of the time

Desired Skills

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience/combined education

Experience managing subtier suppliers

Ability to work independently

Experience delivering presentations to leadership and customers

Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. citizen for consideration. Clearance level: Secret.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part‑time remote telework – the employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from a standard 40‑hour week over five days while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our paid time‑off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
