Senior Analyst – Thematic Insights (Geopolitics)
As a Senior Thematic Insights Analyst for Geopolitics at EY, you will be an expert in geopolitics and geostrategy, contributing to EY’s distinctive perspective on client issues within the domain. You will lead specific programs, delivering high‑impact analysis and insights on geopolitical developments and advising clients on how to adapt. You will also provide analytical support and strategic advice to EY leadership and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Develop a strong internal brand to become recognized within EY as a business‑unit and executive‑level subject‑matter expert.
Engage with senior domain stakeholders to provide commercial perspectives, preparing insightful analysis on the impact of trends for EY and its clients.
Participate in client meetings and represent the firm at selected events to enhance EY’s presence in the market.
Collaborate with domain stakeholders and EY colleagues across Insights, Clients and Industries to support business development activities and service delivery.
Work with the Lead Analyst for Geopolitics, proactively supporting the development of the Insights strategy based on business priorities and domain dynamics.
Lead the creation of specific insights by leveraging EY’s proprietary knowledge and collaborating with Clients and Industries colleagues.
Identify opportunities for cross‑Domain collaboration and share insights with other Insights and Clients and Industries teams.
Synthesize diverse perspectives and sources to develop compelling insights that drive results.
Use qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to provide analytic insights.
Coach less‑experienced team members to improve their skills in research, analysis, data analytics, and visualization.

Strong presentation skills, with experience influencing senior clients and internal decision‑makers.
Demonstrated 10+ years of relevant experience in a fast‑paced, client‑driven environment.
A proactive self‑starter, able to bring new ideas for insights to leadership.
Collaborative and able to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly and concisely.
Ability to proactively build a network of internal and external contacts to shape insights.
Proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Compensation & Benefits
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package. Base salary ranges for US locations: $138,200 – $266,000. For the New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento): $165,800 – $302,300. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
Join us in our team‑led and leader‑enabled hybrid model. Most people in client‑serving roles will work together in person 40‑60 % of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, winter/summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your well‑being.
