Full Time Job Summary:
The Radiology and Imaging department seeks an innovative, collaborative colleague who continually examines their pedagogy to foster belonging, accessibility, and student learning. The individual should be an Accredited Council Graduate Medical Education training fellow. This position trains under Radiology and Imaging faculty in Breast Imaging while working clinically as a faculty member at Augusta University Medical Center. Fellowship is for one academic year only.
Responsibilities
Provide students with the skills necessary to administer radiation treatments safely and accurately in a clinical setting.
Assign program chair hours for the Radiation Therapy program and overall program management.
Conduct classroom instruction, assessments, curriculum development, student advising, professional inquiry, committee work, and engage with instructional technology.
Execute teaching assignments in various delivery modes.
Required Qualifications
MD Degree.
Completed Diagnostic Radiology Residency.
ABR board certified or eligible.
Consistent with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) accreditation requirements.
Evidence of teaching effectiveness.
Evidence of scholarly activity and ability in all other duties assigned.
Successful experience (waived for new academics meeting other requirements).
Desirable personal qualities assessed through interview, biographical data, and recommendations.
Shift/Salary/Benefits This fiscal year based position is full‑time (FTE 1.0) and year‑round. Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements and subject to fund availability. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 13 paid holidays, vacation leave, sick leave, generous retirement plans, tuition waiver, wellness options, and more. Eligibility for Tuition Assistance Program after 6 months of employment.
