This position serves as a State Central Register Call Center Worker, providing statewide telephone coverage of a toll-free number for reporting alleged child abuse and neglect. The worker makes highly responsible decisions regarding intake and screening of reports received on initial calls, secures the necessary information for accurate diagnosis and evaluation, and records reports in computer terminals. The role also monitors written reports for CPS units and performs other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as State Central Register Call Center Worker.
Provide telephone counseling and referral services for crisis situations and maintain familiarity with statewide resources.
Enter all alleged reports of child abuse/neglect into the computer terminal.
Monitor incoming written reports for CPS units.
Perform other duties as required or assigned within the scope of duties.
Qualifications
Excellent organizational skills.
Strong communication skills.
