Job Title : Clinical Research Nurse (Charlestown, MA) (32 or 40 hours per week)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic immunology lab conducting innovative Phase II clinical trials focused on the treatment and potential reversal of Type 1 Diabetes. This is a unique opportunity to work onsite in a collaborative research environment, administering study drugs (BCG) and monitoring progress in both adult and pediatric participants (ages 8+). You will work closely with a dedicated team of physicians and researchers to ensure strict FDA compliance and high‑quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Execution: Perform daily IV insertions and blood draws with expert proficiency on pediatric (ages 8‑20) and adult subjects.

Testing & Monitoring: Perform Mixed Meal Tolerance Testing (MMTT) on pediatric populations and assist physicians with Glucagon Stimulation Testing on adults.

Protocol Management: Coordinate study enrollment, protocol treatment, and specimen collection/preparation.

Documentation: Maintain rigorous, FDA‑compliant records for research and nursing data. Document observations in StudyTrax and maintain regulatory binders.

Patient Education: Provide protocol education to patients and families, adapting interactions based on age‑specific needs.

Safety & Compliance: Monitor patient safety, assess injection responses (in‑person and via Zoom), and participate in internal audits.

Requirements

Minimum two years of RN experience with both Adult and Pediatric (8 years and older) IV and blood draws required.

Registered Nurse with current licensure

BLS certification

Clinical Research and Diabetes experience preferred

Schedule

Hours: Open to 32 or 40 hours per week

Shift: Monday – Friday, predominately early mornings 7am‑3pm
