DSST: Montview
SALARY:
$72,000-87,000 based on experience (up to 10 years). Relocation stipend available for moves >75 miles from Denver.
STATUS:
Full time, benefits eligible, exempt, year‑round in‑person position (Denver, CO).
START:
2025-2026 School Year.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the campus athletics program for grades 6‑12, overseeing varsity and lifetime sports.
Hire, guide, evaluate, and develop coaches; provide professional development and accountability.
Establish strong relationships with coaches, families, students, staff, media, and community members to maximize program success.
Resolve disputes among athletes, coaches, families, and stakeholders.
Supervise on‑site activity and perform administrative duties at both middle and high school levels.
Develop, implement, and maintain systems for athlete accountability, discipline, and academic eligibility.
Plan and manage the athletics budget, including coaching salaries, travel, equipment, and facility maintenance.
Coordinate scheduling with internal and external coaches and facility managers.
Ensure compliance with CHSAA policies and other governing bodies.
Develop and execute marketing, promotion, and funding strategies to support the athletics program.
Lead the creation of safety plans, equipment inventory, and transportation logistics (MFSAB fleet).
Participate in the school administrative team and decision‑making meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
Experience working with K‑12 students.
Leadership and people‑management experience.
Previous experience as an Athletic Director or K‑12 school leader preferred.
Coaching experience preferred.
Certification as a Colorado High School Activities Association Coach (CHSAA) or credentialing pathway available.
Adult CPR, First Aid, and concussion training required.
